Giving Tuesday is here!

Project STEP is eager to send our students and their family members to see Sphinx Virtuosi and Chineke! this spring. Help us make this possible through a donation on Giving Tuesday - Tuesday, November 29, 2022 - the global day of giving back.

Sphinx Virtuosi, the inspiring professional self-conducted Black and LatinX chamber orchestra will be playing at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum on April 2, 2023. On March 22, 2023 Chineke! Orchestra, the first professional majority Black and Asian orchestra in Europe, with conductor Andrew Grams and pianist Stewart Goodyear, will perform works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Goodyear, and Florence Price at Boston Symphony Hall.

Fun Fact: See that photo above? - STEP Alumnus Tony Rymer is in the middle playing the cello with Chineke!

We hope to send our students to one or both of these concerts. We need your help!

The importance of our students seeing classical musicians of color on a world renowned stage is undeniable – it is something that will stay in their hearts and minds forever. Show our students that they can do and be whatever they want despite the racial and social barriers that are often difficult to overcome. It is our student musicians' dedication to their craft and support from friends like you that will help them succeed.
